Connected Conversations With Dr. Mary Forhan
Obesity Science is rapidly evolving and we are constantly learning new things. What we know today is vastly different than what we knew even 5-10 years ago. It is also a very broad and diverse area of research. Join us for this important conversation with Obesity Canada’s Scientific Director, Dr. Mary Forhan. With our hosts Lisa Schaffer and Ian Patton, Dr. Forhan will help us understand some of the key takeaways from more recent obesity research, emerging areas of interest as well as the research Obesity Canada has been involved in and where we are going.

Mary Forhan, PhD is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. Dr. Forhan is a health researcher who applies occupational and rehabilitation science lenses to research focused on bariatric care and rehabilitation, with the goals of reducing the disability experienced by persons living with obesity; improving the quality of care patients with obesity receive; and, reducing the burden of obesity on the healthcare system. She is the Scientific Director, Obesity Canada and Vice-President, Association of Canadian Occupational Therapy University Programs.
